There are various options to access the PAPAA course depending on your availability and learning preferences. Please click the accordian boxes below to find out more:

PAPAA On-Demand

Online individual learning.

Allows students to access learning in their own time at their own pace. For students who are also busy teachers, it provides the flexibility that live webinar training does not allow. Taught sessions delivered through online on-demand video presentations, which can be replayed and reviewed.

A combination of webinar training and online individual learning.

Start the course with 3 consecutive live webinar training days for Unit 1 (covering all the core Unit 1 taught sessions, and discussing/beginning all of the Unit 1 assignments). 

Unit 2 taught sessions are delivered through online on-demand video presentations.

Webinar training.

Start the course with 3 consecutive live webinar training days for Unit 1 (covering all the core Unit 1 taught sessions, and discussing/beginning all of the Unit 1 assignments). Later in the course access 3 consecutive live webinar training days for Unit 2 (covering all the core Unit 2 taught sessions, and discussing/beginning all of the Unit 2 assignments).

Cost: £2,150

If you are part of an academy chain, a Local Authority or group of schools, we can deliver the PAPAA Hybrid option at a venue of your choice for groups of a minimum of eight students. The remainder of the training will be undertaken through online video presentations.

We can arrange the training for consecutive days or over a longer period if required. We understand the pressures that schools and colleges are under to incorporate CPD into their timetable so we will do our best to meet your specific requirements.

The assignments are the same for all delivery options. Please click below to view more details on assignments.

The PAPAA assignments include:

  • Online multiple choice assessments on the principles of psychometric testing and the JCQ regulations
  • Written tasks to demonstrate your knowledge of statistical terms, different types of testing, and calculating standardised scores and confidence bands
  • Completing an individual assessment using a range of standardised tests, from creating an assessment plan, writing a case study for the candidate and videoing the assessment, through to marking and scoring the tests, feeding back to the candidate and writing a report of the results
  • A short essay on the rationale for the access arrangements process
  • Analysing case studies on candidates with learning difficulties, and physical, sensory and medical difficulties
  • Recording evidence on the JCQ forms
  • Applying for access arrangements using the Access Arrangements Online (AAO) format
