Award of Proficiency in Access Arrangement Coordination (APAAC)

An accredited qualification for professionals who are responsible for coordinating Access Arrangements for General Qualifications in secondary schools and Further Education colleges.

In the last few years, the responsibilities of secondary and FE SENCos and Additional Needs Coordinators have increased exponentially. In the light of this, an increasing number of centres are appointing an 'Access Arrangements Coordinator' to oversee the administration of examination access arrangements. With rigorous and targeted training and time to focus specifically on this area of special needs and disabilities, such a role can be an effective and efficient way to manage the requirements of a successful access arrangements system.

Training such as the APAAC - a fully accredited course from Include-ed/Communicate-ed - provides one route to the training required to carry out this role.
